There was no cure, and there is no cure.

Part two of the much anticipated (on my part anyway...) female crushes, beginning with a very relevant choice, having just watched Les Poupées Russes this evening for the umpteenth time.

 Kelly Reilly

Oh, my gosh. She is just beautiful. I think this the more and more I see the film. Of course I know she's made up to look all "casual" in her painfully perfect London flat with troubled ex-boyfriend and hot-shot writing job... but still. I fall for it, a bit like Romain Duris, so who can blame me. Yes I am perhaps insanely jealous of/deeply in love with (close call) her character Wendy, but that doesn't stop her being a fantastic actress and devastatingly attractive. It makes me almost want to see Robery Downey Jnrs. "Sherlock Holmes". Almost, but not quite.

With Romain Duris in equally beautiful London townhouse
One of my favourite parts of the film. And not just cos she's walking like that.

Urgh, apologies for the rubbish picture formatting. As aforementioned I am not technically-inclined and just get frustrated and sulky if the computer doesn't do what I want it to, despite my manic clicking, swearing and smashing of the keyboard.

Lauren Laverne
For having my ideal job, basically. In every single possible way, but being so so good at it I can't be jealous. Prime time bbc 6 show, presenter of the culture show AND Glasto coverage? Yes please.

Nadeah Miranda

Australian born, Paris and Brighton-based Nadeah Miranda, or Deah as she was in The loveGods. In my opinion the most unassumingly beautiful woman I've ever seen. I don't want to travel into the realm of borish/arse-kissing/pervy, but you should see this woman move on stage. Sheeeeesh. Near to six foot, black leather boots, rolling around on the floor singing her heart out about divinity and eternity and desire.

Sadly The loveGods (seriously, if you can get your hands on any of their stuff, do- amazing band) have disbanded. She worked with Nouvele Vague a lot, then disappeared for a while, but now Nadeah is back!! I am so stoked about her new projects. If I could have anyone's singing voice it would be hers *sigh*

But don't just take my word for it:
The loveGods- Heroin
Nouvelle Vague, Nadeah dancing (not sure which song it is)

Deah, circa 2004, in The loveGods.

Florence Welsch

Well, I love her band's music, I love her hair, I love her voice, I love her clothes and I wish my legs were as long as hers. But apart from all that- CHECK OUT THAT ROOM!!! A clearly strained faux-bohémian but all the same BEAUTIFUL room. My bedroom is halfway there if it wasn't for my compulsion to tidy whenever I am bored/avoiding doing something (i.e approx 85% of my time.) Anyone know where I can get a cheap birdcage and a giant white cardboard rabbit from?

Scarlett Johansson

Jesus Christ, just look at her, oh wait, I can't, my eyes have melted from the seductiveness of it all, aaaaaah, help me, why why why, etc.

KM.
